A live preview and an AI assistant inside your hosting panel
KLYRN 1.1.9 beta puts a code editor, a live preview and an AI assistant beside your site files. How it works and who controls it.
Where this stands
Everything here is in KLYRN 1.1.9, which is on the beta channel. The stable release today is 1.1.8. The changelog shows when 1.1.9 reaches stable. Beta builds are for a test server, so keep live sites on stable until then.
A code editor for site files
Opening a file can start the full editor: a file tree, tabs, search and replace, quick open and a focus mode. Every file operation runs as the site's own Unix user.
The live preview
The preview shows the site beside the code, as visitors will see it. It reloads on every save. An HTML file updates as you type.
It works for PHP, WordPress, HTML and Node.js apps. It is served from a hostname of its own, so a site's code never runs next to the panel.
The AI assistant
Ask it to explain a file, find a bug or make a change. A change comes back as a diff, and you apply it with one click.
The administrator connects any OpenAI-compatible provider under Settings, AI. They set a daily limit per person and one for the whole server. Without a provider, the assistant stays off. The assistant uses the provider the administrator chose.
Your own AI tools on one site
AI tools makes a key for one site. It reaches only that site's folder, expires and can be revoked. Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code connect with it through the MCP endpoint at /api/v1/mcp.
Who gets it
Under Settings, Features the administrator chooses who gets the code editor and AI file access, by role or by person. The 1.1.9 beta also adds a terminal in the browser, off until it is handed out.
Read the Files guide for the detail. To try the beta, install KLYRN and switch channel as the updates guide describes.
