A free hosting control panel for your own server
KLYRN Free runs one server and five sites with the whole panel and no card. What it includes, what the server needs, and where it stops.
What the free edition is
An install with no licence key runs KLYRN Free. It covers one server and five sites, with the whole panel. There is no card and no time limit.
Every edition has the installer, every site type, automatic HTTPS, health checks, signed updates and backups on the server.
What you can host
PHP sites, WordPress with staging, static HTML, Node.js apps deployed from Git, and container applications. Mail is part of the panel, with mailboxes, forwarders and DKIM.
Each account has its own Unix user and a home nobody else can list. The process on the network cannot become root.
What the server needs
A fresh Ubuntu 24.04 LTS install on x86_64, with 1 GB of memory and 10 GB of free disk. There is no arm64 build. The installer refuses a server that already carries another panel.
A server with under 4 GB of memory and no swap gets a swap file. The firewall denies inbound traffic by default and never closes the SSH port you are connected on.
The install
Run this as root:
curl -fsSL https://get.klyrn.com | sudo bash
It checks the release signature, installs nginx, PHP 8.3, MariaDB and the firewall, and verifies each stage. An interrupted run picks up where it stopped.
The last lines print the panel address and a one-time setup token. There is no default password.
Where it stops
The sixth site needs Pro, which is $9 per server a month with no limit on sites. KLYRN is not open source, and support on Free is the community.
Your sites never depend on a licence check. If the licence service is out of reach, sites, backups and renewals keep working.
The self-hosted panel page has the rest, and the first setup guide takes you to a first site.
