KLYRN Game Panel: where a Pterodactyl alternative stands
KLYRN Game Panel is in progress, with Minecraft first and Pterodactyl egg import underway. What works in the lab today, and what is planned.
Where it stands
KLYRN Game Panel is not on sale. It is a panel for game hosting providers, resellers and their players, built in the open. Each milestone is marked done only with evidence on the public roadmap.
A private pilot with providers comes before general availability. If you need a game panel in production this month, this is not it yet.
What Pterodactyl is
Read on 21 October 2026, pterodactyl.io describes Pterodactyl as free and open source under the MIT licence. Every server runs in its own Docker container.
KLYRN Game Panel is a commercial product. Prices are not published yet. It is a separate product from KLYRN Web and KLYRN VM, with its own roadmap and changelog.
What works today
Minecraft is the first game. On a lab server, the live console, configuration edits, backups and the restore of a changed world have been verified. A player joining and creating a server from the browser are still open.
Resellers and their customers can be created through the live panel, with workspaces kept apart.
Your eggs
Egg import is in progress. Eggs come in by file, URL or catalog, and each gets a report that marks findings as supported, adapted, blocked or unverified. A privileged egg is refused.
Install scripts run in a constrained installer with no host access. Upstream game eggs have not yet passed the full lifecycle.
What is planned
A guided move from Pterodactyl 1.x and 2.x is planned as its own milestone, with a dry run and a way back. Certified game packs, rentals and WHMCS come later. Each pack will be tested for install, update, query and backup before it is listed.
Follow along
The Game Panel page has the pilot contact, and the roadmap shows every milestone. For web hosting today, KLYRN Web is stable, and the providers guide starts there.
