Move from SolusVM 2 with no restart.
KLYRN VM takes over your hosts while every machine keeps running. Your customers keep their addresses and their accounts.
How the move works
You can stop after any step and nothing is lost.
-
Install KLYRN VM
Put the controller on its own server. Your SolusVM 2 hosts are not touched yet.
-
Connect and read
Give it your SolusVM 2 address and key. It reads your servers, customers and plans, and changes nothing.
-
Take over a host
Add the KLYRN VM agent to one host. It checks every machine, then takes the host over while they keep running.
-
Invite your customers
Each customer gets a link to choose a new password and finds their machines where they left them.
What your customers keep
- Their machinesLinux and Windows guests come across, with their consoles.
- Their addressesNo machine is given a new address.
- Their accountsEvery customer is brought over. Old passwords are never copied.
- Their backupsBackup schedules carry over and run to your backup server.
